GATEWAY, WARD VILLAGE: AN ARCHITECTURAL LANDMARK
Ward Village is a community that is deeply rooted in a sense of place. Nowhere is this more evident than in the design of Gateway Towers, whose very forms—a Blade and a Cylinder— their unique positioning on the pivot point of Honolulu’s historic urban grid. The Blade is oriented in reference to downtown Honolulu to the west; while the Cylinder is oriented in a way that opens the property up to the ocean and the coastline to the east.
